Welcome to my Practice
Frances Sorensen, PTP, RPP, NARM
I support people who want to reconnect more deeply with themselves, heal old patterns, and cultivate greater vitality, ease and joy in their lives.
I have been working in the field of somatic and integrative therapies for over twenty years, with a special focus on complex trauma.
I have extensive training in systems of body-mind healing and energy medicine, with speciality in healing complex trauma, grounded in Polarity Therapy and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. My professional trauma training is the Neuro Affective Relational Model (NARM); a powerful method for transforming the effects of developmental and attachment trauma, allowing an organic shift into more aliveness.
My work is collaborative, integrative, and centered on the whole person. Together we create a space where healing, self-discovery, and meaningful change can unfold naturally
NOTE: My practice is currently near capacity. I have appointments available on Friday afternoons/evenings, and weekend afternoons.
If you’re interested in working together but unable to see me at those times, please reach out anyway; I am happy to add you to a waitlist for when other times open up.

Sessions are online via Zoom, or in-person in Manhattan NYC.
How I Work
I see clients on a weekly, biweekly, or every-four-week basis.
You are welcome to experience up to 3 - 4 sessions before deciding if this therapy is right for you, and setting up a regular time together.
Sessions can be conducted remotely over Zoom or in person (in Manhattan).
In-person sessions can include energy work & therapeutic touch along with exploratory therapeutic communication.
Though done on a treatment table, this is not massage or physical therapy. It’s a way to listen more deeply to yourself, to feel deeply held in a state of safety and expansion, and to activate your natural inner intelligence that reaches for healing and growth — creating new pathways for transformative change.
What’s Unique About This Therapy?
Many forms of therapy involve conversation alone, looking into the past to gain insight into the origins of persistent feelings and behaviors. And yet, knowing often isn’t healing — it’s only part of the picture.
Communication is an important part of my work, but you are also invited to experience yourself in other ways beyond words. We work with your senses, your experience, the subtle internal shifts that happen in relationship to yourself and others. The focus is safely bringing your whole self into the present, in a held space together. Working this way, with body, mind and spirit, enables you to feel more fully alive, more fully yourself than cognitive insight alone can provide.
In sessions we explore where you are feeling stuck and where growth is already occurring; we bring attention and support wherever it is needed in the body-mind system. We do this through verbal communication as well as direct work with the body, sensations and feelings. This work is an evolutionary process— over time it allows old patterns to release, and your innate sense of vitality, life expression and inner strength to come online.
I encourage you to try 3-4 sessions of this unique transformative work to get a sense of how it happens. With regular care and support, change unfolds from within.
